The challenge
For our Scandinavian client, a leader in the home furnishing industry, we have carried out a number of IT outsourcing projects over several years. One of the most interesting challenges was to provide dozens of specialists for a team working from 10 locations in several European countries (including Poland, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal).
In addition, the client placed great emphasis on matching candidates not only in terms of technology, but also in terms of organisational culture - also because our experts would be joining an already established, international and therefore culturally diverse team.
The solution
We developed a dedicated talent acquisition and vetting process in which, in addition to the 'standard' technological vetting, we very carefully analysed the degree of fit with the client's organisational culture.
Due to the scale of our business, we were able to ensure the rapid delivery of new experts to the team when required, including for replacements. However, in order to align our approach with the client's values, and in consultation with the client, we took a different approach. We decided to be more proactive in managing the risks of potential departures, and to invest heavily in solutions that would give our team experts the space to develop and thrive.

The result
In less than 6 months, we provided the client with 30 experts thoroughly vetted technologically and very well matched to their organisational culture. The diversity of countries of origin (Tunisia, Spain, France, Algeria, Mexico, Ukraine, Poland) became an additional asset, enriching the daily functioning of the team and becoming an integral part of it.
Our proactive measures have significantly reduced the team's turnover and contributed to its greater cohesion and efficiency. The client has included some of our solutions in its catalogue of good practices, and we have collected some very interesting insights to inspire our other clients.
