An international IT company needed to support a team working with the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) framework. The challenge of sourcing and retaining skilled GWT specialists was causing project delays and posing a competitive threat to the company.

The solution

At Connectis_, we offered the client a solution in the form of a dedicated C_school programme. Its objective was to identify talented candidates and provide them with comprehensive training in GWT, while preparing them to work in the client's specific environment. The programme included:

• Selection of the top 1% of candidates from our database based on testing and assessment of their fit with the client's organisational culture
• An intensive training programme tailored to the client's needs, comprising 460 hours of learning covering not only GWT, but also complementary technologies, project working methodologies and soft skills
• Support from a mentor - an experienced Connectis_ trainer who facilitated onboarding and provided technical and content support during dedicated consultation sessions during the first 3 months of C_schoolers' work with the client

The result

Our programme was once again a success. In just a few months, we provided the client with 14 qualified GWT specialists ready to work from day one. This was achieved thanks to proper selection and subsequent training and mentoring of the candidates. The C_school graduates quickly became valuable team members, meeting the client's expectations.

Thanks to our commitment, the client was able to complete a large project in a short period of time, maintaining on-time delivery. As a result, our cooperation was extended for another, longer period.

In the recruitment process, we verified more than 1,200 candidates for the client, with a success rate of 88%. Furthermore, because C_school could be adapted to the specifics of different projects, we have also implemented it successfully for our other clients.
