The challenge

Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial machinery, was struggling to manually monitor and service their machines. The process was time-consuming, error-prone and made it difficult to respond quickly to breakdowns.

An additional challenge was the need to get the implementation up and running in the shortest possible time, while combining our experts with the client's internal resources.

The solution

‍

Within two weeks of starting the cooperation, once onboarded, quickly got to work designing and implementing a comprehensive web application for machine maintenance based on React and integrated with SCADA and CMMS systems. 

‍

The application was available on a variety of devices (PCs, tablets, smartphones) and featured an easy-to-use and intuitive user interface to provide technicians with convenient access to a number of key features. These included:

• An interface that visualises sensor data, operating parameters and KPIs
• Failure and malfunction notifications
• Ability to remotely control machines and configure operating parameters
• Access to detailed operating manuals and service procedures
• Service order management

The web application was developed using the following technologies:

• Frontend: ReactJS
• Backend: Java Spring Boot
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Integration: REST API

It was designed in an open-source way to allow the client to expand with new features in the future.
