The challenge

Our client is a global powerhouse in the electronics industry. It was developing an advanced electrical circuit design platform based on Java Enterprise Edition, pure JavaScript and internal frameworks. However, they were experiencing difficulties in attracting suitably qualified specialists and the lengthy induction process for new employees was further reducing team productivity.

The solution

In order to meet the client's needs, we used C_school, a dedicated competency development programme we had designed and developed. Thanks to it, we were able to provide the client with a dozen work-ready specialists. The programme included:

  • A comprehensive analysis of the client's needs to identify technical and personality requirements that would optimise the fit with the client's team
  • Personality matching of the C_school participants to ensure that the best of them could ultimately form a close-knit team that would fit into the client's organisational culture
  • Intensive 3-month training programme comprises 400 hours of learning covering Java Enterprise Edition technologies, JavaScript, the client's internal frameworks and Scrum working methodology
  • Two-step final vetting process by Connectis expert trainers and final selection by the client

The result

C_school provided the programme participants with valuable training and professional development opportunities, while the client helped to attract hard-to-reach professionals and was more cost-effective than traditional recruitment and deployment methods.

The top twelve programme participants joined the client's project teams to work effectively from day one, which shortened the onboarding stage, reducing time and costs. The client was impressed by the level of competence and commitment of the C_schoolers, who became an important part of its team. Some of them were subsequently hired directly by the client.

More than 1,100 candidates were vetted through the recruitment process and the success rate of the programme was 85%. As C_school could be adapted to the specifics of different projects, we have also implemented it successfully for other clients.
