The challenge

Our client is one of the largest energy providers in Europe and we have been supporting their projects with IT outsourcing services for many years. It needed a reliable solution to support the inspection processes of its renewable energy infrastructure, which included wind turbines, photovoltaic panels, hydroelectric and biomass power plants.

The goal was to ensure the stable operation of the infrastructure, avoid financial losses and optimise the inspection processes. The old tools were unreliable and time-consuming, increasing the risk of reporting errors, downtime, power outages and, most importantly, generating costs.

The solution

We used a flexible Agile methodology that allowed us to continually adapt to the client's changing needs. We created a team of experts with diverse technical skills, tailored to the needs of the project, whose composition and structure was continuously adapted to the project's development stage.

We used React, Redux, Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Azure SQL, Azure App Services, Indexed DB, REST API, OAuth 2.0, Azure Active Directory.

The project in its life cycle was developed by React Frontend Developers, Java Backend Developers, UX Designer, Product Owner, Scrum Master and QA Engineer, and we started building the team immediately after defining the framework requirements of the project. 

The result

The team provided by Connectis_ started working on the project within a month of gathering the requirements, and our solution reduced wind turbine inspection times, increased reporting accuracy and reduced downtime.

In the development itself, we developed innovative solutions, such as the ability to record voice notes during site visits and online and offline modes, which significantly streamlined the inspection process. We also ensured compatibility of the implementation (browsers, iOS, Android).

We implemented the agreed functionality, prepared the project documentation and handed over the tool for use by the inspectors - but we did not stop there. The solutions and documentation we developed for the client in this project have become the basis for a broader platform being developed by the client, which is a proof of their high quality and value.
